Concrete River Days is Returning to Colfax!

Join Us July 26th for a Full Day of Fun!

What has been known as Summerfest in recent years has deep roots in many past celebrations, including Concrete River Days, Crazy Days, and more. Given the uniqueness of Colfax, especially our concrete river, and the fond memories so many in the community have of Concrete River Days, it’s the perfect time to bring this tradition back.

While the event name is changing, the goal remains the same:

We’re here to bring the community together, celebrate all that Colfax has to offer, and create lasting memories. Although we can’t use the canal this year due to debris from the flooding, we’re excited about future years when we can bring back events like the rubber duck races, fun run, and more!

Celebrating Our Student of the Month:
Hailey Vandenbark!

November

“My name is Hailey Vandenbark, daughter of Angie and Justin Vandenbark. I am honored to be recognized as the Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month.

I am involved in many academic, athletic, and extra-curricular activities at CHS. I participate in volleyball, softball, FFA, ASB leadership, National Honors Society, DYW and I work part time at JTI. This year I am serving as my FFA chapter’s secretary and placed bronze with my proficiency award at the national level.

I won academic state champions with my softball team our sophomore season and made it to compete at state my junior year. I earned spirit of DWY this past year along with many other scholarships. Along with all my extra-curriculars I am taking multiple dual-credit class while maintaining excellent grades.
During the summer I work on my grandparents’ farm and at Jones Truck and Implement. Next year I plan to attend either LC State or the University of Montana to pursue a degree in radiographic science.”

Congrats Hailey!
