Celebrating Our Student of the Month:
Liliana Davis!

March

“My name is Liliana Davis, and I am the daughter of Catalina Flores and Joel Davis. I am beyond thankful to be recognized by the Colfax Chamber of Commerce as the March Student of the Month.

I have spent my entire life, so far, living in Colfax. Throughout the years, I have participated in concert band, track and field, and National Honor Society. This year, I was selected as the Vice President of our NHS Chapter, and it is an rewarding and fun experience. I also had the opportunity to participate in honor band my junior year. I have been recognized in honor roll and received numerous academic excellence awards these past couple years as well.

When it comes to contributing to my community, I have been involved in numerous ways. This last summer, I began working part-time at Tick Klock Drug and continue to do so during school and this upcoming summer. For the past couple years, I have volunteered at the Whitman County Library for their Spring Tea Luncheon event and also have helped them during the Winter Festival. Since I love animals, I have donated to the Whitman County Humane Society and to the Humane Society of the Palouse. Every now and then, I have also offered to pet sit for people here in town.

As for my future plans, I aspire to become an esthetician and attend Spokane Community College (SCC). Eventually, I would love to earn my Advanced Esthetician Certification as well. One of my passions include beauty and skincare, which is why I think this career is perfect for me.

Growing up in this town has brought me amazing opportunities, connections, and positive experiences that have influenced who I am today. Once again, I would like to thank the Colfax Chamber of Commerce for nominating me as the March Student of the Month. This is an incredibly rewarding and exciting experience.”
