Rachel Schad
Executive Director
Rachel is our new Executive Director as of November 2024. She is a highly-valued addition to our team with a background in hospitality, business, and at the encouragement of her husband (a professional firefighter/paramedic) most recently, a volunteer Firefighter/EMT. Rachel and her husband Christian have 3 beautiful blonde-haired blue-eyed children and 2 black labs.
Rachel appreciates the value of quality time with her husband and children; they enjoy being outdoors and eating good food together. Rachel started distance running in early 2024, ran her first 10k in March, first half marathon in September, and first full marathon in October. Her favorite shows are The Great British Bake-Off and The Office. Rachel loves thrift shopping, all kinds of music, reading educational and inspirational books, and being involved in church.

Gary Young
Chamber President
Gary was born in Colfax and attended elementary and high school in Colfax. After high school, he attended Yakima Valley College. After leaving collage he spent 27 years in the food business. He stated as a salesman and went all the way to the president of a regional company. During that time he received “outstanding young man of America” Gary and his wife Judy, are active in Colfax. Judy is president of Granny’s thrift store. This is Gary’s second term being president at the Colfax Chamber.

Jennifer McCully
Vice President
Jennifer McCully is the Chamber’s Vice President. Jennifer and her husband own Sparrow Glass Windows & Doors, have three sons and live on a small hobby farm complete with cows, chickens, a dog and some friendly barn cats.
Jennifer places a high value on her family and her character. She believes in never hiding from the truth and owning up to mistakes. She’s never afraid to apologize, even if it stings. She believes in follow-through and committing to the community in which she lives, and she and her husband commit their kids to learning the same: you might regularly find them doing community service work all around town!
Jennifer is an introvert by nature but is always up for a challenge in social environments. Being a part of the Chamber is something that brings her out of her comfort zone but feels like a rewarding and wonderful way to contribute her skills to her community.

Hannah Kuhl
Secretary
Hannah Kuhl is the Colfax Chamber Secretary! She has a 4th grader and an 9th grader in the Colfax School District. Hannah’s husband and her own the local Napa in Colfax. She is looking forward to serving our city on the Chamber Board.

Alyssa Mullins
Board Member
Alyssa is a board member here at the chamber. She grew up in Oahu Hawaii after graduating high school she went to WSU. She now works full-time at Pullman Marketing as their brand manager. Besides work she loves spending time with her friends and fiancé Ryon, learning how to cook and exploring the area!

Sara Golden
Board Member
Sara Golden is our 2023-2024 board member of the Chamber. She has a 3rd, 7th, and 9th grader here in Colfax. She is your community coordinator for Super Colfax, the substance use prevention education and resources coalition. She is excited to be a part of a great team and ready to serve our community.
Board Member Expectations
Directors are special people with a commitment to giving back to their community. They recognize that with this position comes a commitment to support the organization, its programs and policies and to assist in meeting the mission and vision of the Chamber.
Directors commit to:
Become familiar with Chamber policies, procedures, positions and its Bylaws to become an informed representative of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all Board meetings and other related information one may be privy to while serving on the Board.
Attend all Board meetings as reasonably possible. (Please note, see the by-laws states: A member of the Board of Directors who shall be absent from three (3) consecutive regular meetings of the Board of Directors shall automatically be dropped from membership on the Board, unless confined by illness or other absence approved by a majority vote of those voting at any meeting of the Board. A member of the Board of Directors who is unable to attend more than six (6) regular meetings of the Board for one year shall be automatically dropped from membership on the Board.)
Attend the annual Board Retreat and planning session. Participate in the development, adoption and implementation of the annual program of work.
Promote and participate at other official Chamber meetings/functions as reasonably possible.
Review all Board materials/recommendations, in advance of the discussion, to help the Board make effective and timely decisions.
Serve on at least one (1) committee, and keep the Board informed on its progress and goals when applicable at meetings.
Act as a resource for the Board in defining opportunities and/or problems within the membership and business community that need to be brought to the attention of the Board.
Represent the Chamber in a professional manner at all times.
Commit to bring into the Chamber a minimum of two (1-2) new members per year and alert the Chamber staff to new businesses that are potential Chamber members.
Perform other such duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time by the President of the Board of Directors. Time availability minimum of 2 hours per month.
